Americans For Justice - United - 2024

Blog posts February 2016

A Turning Point

This is our turning point.  We have been though so many changes in America already and what we identify to be so much corruption.  Now, we seem to have more division by the day and hatred escalating by the minute.  I don't believe this is truly what people want, but in the reaction to all that has happened, it carries on.  So now we have to decide what to do and it is not easy.  Of course people and media are saying all kinds of things and the only way to get to the truth is to be willing to look at the factual information. I am not going to state here who you should vote for.

I am going to advise awareness, research and even intuition.  What do you see as the truth?  What are the facts?  What do you believe is right?  This site has covered a lot about lawlessness, corruption, violations, etc.  We believe in Justice.  There is so much  turmoil in our country due to these factors.  We simply cannot sustain more.  This site has also carried the theme of uniting.   That takes we the people standing up for what we believe in.  Uniting is easily destroyed with anger and hatred.  Once We The People are forced into this kind of extreme division, that leaves us incapable of maintaining the groundwork to solve problems.

The best we can do is try to vote with what we believe is morally right.  This takes reviewing the information we have access to and examine what we witness to be truth, respect and just.  However, we must not give up our rights to make ourselves heard over all.  Clearly we need teamwork with everything that is happening to our country.  One person is not going to come along and save us from the problems we face.  So, if we take a step back and research the information we have, we can make an informed decision.  Yet, always knowing that we can work together by not letting any political 'instigators'  get the best of us.

We are in turbulent times we will get through if we take this seriously and stand by our Constitutional rights while in view of our laws.  We can do what is best by never losing sight of Justice.

God Bless America!

Socialism

Socialism, What is it?

Fellow citizens, since we have a self proclaimed, 'Democratic Socialist', running for our highest office of President of the United States, I wanted to define what 'Socialism' actually is. It seems in this election cycle our youth have been duped into supporting this form of Government without any knowledge of what it entails.  So, why do they support it?  Well, in actuallity, they only support parts of what Socialism promises, i.e., free college, free day care, erasure of student debt and the like, without knowing what the effects or tenets of Socialism are.  As I research this ideal, I have found that is not as cut and dried as one may think.

First, let's look at the different types of Government.

A Democracy.  In a Democracy the supreme power is retained by the people. People vote on the actions they want their government to take, such as new taxes, health care or representatives.  People can run for office and get elected to form part of the government. Such as the President, vice president, state representatives and other various positions.
In a democracy, people usually elect representatives. In the USA, each state has 2 Congressmen or Congresswomen and the state gets another set of representatives for the amount of people in their state. For example, the State of texas gets more State Representatives than oregon because Texas is more populated than the state of Oregon.

A Dictatorship.  In a dictatorship, there would be one person or a group a people that declare themselves rulers of the land. This dictator will have all the power. He is able to give and take anything from his or her people.
In a dictatorship there the ruler usually lives in luxury and richness while the rest of the people live in fear of the rulers power.

A Monarchy.  A monarchy is a form of government where the supreme power is in the hands of a monarch who reigns over a state or territory. The monarch rules usually for a life time and by hereditary right (is born into royalty).  The Monarch is a sole absolute ruler and is responsible for their country.

An Anarchy.  An Anarchy is no government at all.  Every person is to fend for themselves.  People live through farming land, finding water and building a home on their own.  No one tells you what to do and there is no voting.  This type of 'Government', or lack thereof, usually ends up with people fighting and dying over the necessities of life, i.e., food, water, land, etc.  And, there is no police force to keep the peace.

Communism.  A Communist Government is an economic and social structure that advocates complete public ownership of production and allocation of resources. Communism is by far the most intertwined with political control of classes, wages, and policies to eliminate poverty or wealth gaps. Communism is considered more of a political expansion of the economic system of socialism and has been in the past portrayed as an attempt to create a Marxism utopia through government.

Socialism.  In this type of government the planning, producing, and distributing goods is controlled by a central government. If you were a dairy farmer and produced lots of milk, the government would take your milk and share it with your fellow countrymen.
A socialism government does this to theoretically seek a more just and equitable distribution of property and labor.

Since we are trying to define Socialism, I will concentrate on that form of Governance.  The term, 'Socialism', was coined in the 1830's.

Following is the Webster definition of Socialism:
1:  any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2a :  a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
2b :  a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3:  a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.

What are the different types of Socialism?  MARKET SOCIALISM; is a type of economic system involving the public, cooperative, or social ownership of the means of production in the framework of a market economy. NON MARKET SOCIALISM;  involves the substitution of an economic mechanism based on engineering and technical criteria centered around calculation performed in-kind for factor markets, money and the accumulation of capital; therefore functioning according to different economic laws than those of capitalism. Non-market socialism aims to circumvent the inefficiencies and crises traditionally associated with the profit system. FABIANISM; a form of Socialism to be established by gradual reformswithin the law.  GUILD SOCIALISM; Advocates state ownershipof Industry but managed by a guild of workers.  UTOPIAN SOCIALISM; Socialism acheived by voluntary sacrifice. MARXISM; the philosophical concept of dialectical materialism, and the method of social analysis known as historical materialism.  LENINISM; denotes the concepts of a disciplined, revolutionary party and the principled, intransigent vision of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, key leader of the 1917 Russian Revolution. Lenin's works on imperialism, the nature of the state, and the rights of national minorities are essential components of the socialist tradition.  TROTSKYISM; is the continuation of the Marxist and Leninist current led by Leon Trotsky, co-leader with Lenin of the Russian Revolution. When the Stalinist bureaucracy rose to power in the Soviet Union in the late 1920s, Trotsky rallied an international Left Opposition against the betrayal of the revolution's goals. Trotskyism stands for Permanent Revolution, internationalism, and the strategy of the united front against fascism. Trotsky was murdered by a Stalinist assassin in 1940.  SOCIALIST FEMINISM; was developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s by founders of the Freedom Socialist Party and Radical Women. It is a Marxist, Leninist, and Trotskyist tendency that acknowledges that the most oppressed sector of the modern working class is composed of women, particularly women of color, whose life experience of exploitation gives them the strength and determination to carry through a revolution against all forms of oppression. Socialist feminists recognize the revolutionary leadership of workingclass women, people of color, and queers, and others multiply afflicted by capitalism. Socialist feminists orient to grassroots, rank-and-file women and men rather than to the predominantly white male aristocrats of labor who make up the union bureaucracy.

What is a Socialist program?  They emcompass the entitlement programs, i.e., Welfare, Medicaid, HUD, Social Security, The Federal Reserve, Farm Subsidies, Public Schools, Corporate Welfare, etc.  As you can see, Socialism is and has been, in less invasive and small ways,  intertwined with our system of Capitalism since the early 1900's.  Basically, Socialism is the the 'rob Peter to pay Paul' initiative and if let to rule, would bankrupt our country in very little time, hence, making us a third world country dependant on others to fullfil our needs.

Who believes in Socialism?

1) Politicians, like Bernie, and bureaucrats who think they can spend other peoples money better than the people who earned the money can.
Bernie Sanders is the latest in a long line of liberals who believe that the people lack the ability to decide for themselves how they are to live. People like Bernie believe that the enlightened few, such as him, have a responsibility to save the people from themselves.  Needless to say, there should be nothing more frightening to any American who believes that success comes from hard work and effort than a politician who believes that he’s wiser than the people he is supposed to serve and who believes that it’s luck, not dedication, that decides who succeeds in America.
Socialists reject the idea that the government serves the people and embrace the idea that the government rules the people.

2) People who think that politicians and bureaucrats can spend the people’s money better than the people can.
There are probably not too many people who have money and who honestly think that the government will better know how to spend their money. If there were you’d see a lot more rich folks voluntarily donating money to the government.  When you hear a rich person supporting socialist policies, you can be fairly sure that those policies will benefit them via crony capitalism or because they can use loopholes to avoid paying the taxes that will be needed to support those policies.

3) People who think that politicians and bureaucrats will take money from other people and give it to them.
It’s fairly easy to understand how people who don’t work or who don’t pay taxes would be enthused about a socialist who promises them even more “free” stuff than they’re already getting since in their minds there is no downside for them.  Of course, there is a downside, higher unemployment in the short run and eventually the same effect we witnessed in Greece, but the MSM ensures that the folks in this group never hear about the real cost of “free” stuff.  Alexis de Tocqueville wrote:  The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.  Clearly, this group of socialist supporters are all in for being bribed. Sadly, the highly progressive tax system in the U.S. has led to more than 45% of American households not paying Federal income tax.
While many people who don’t pay taxes will do the honorable thing and not vote themselves more money there is still a huge pool of people who have every reason to fall for the siren lies of socialism.

4) People who believe that companies print money.
Margret Thatcher said:  The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.
But some people seem think that businesses run printing presses in their basements so that when a business is taxed there is no impact on the cost of the business’s products or the wages the business can pay to its workers.  Essentially these people believe that there is no end to “other people’s money”. They haven’t learned the lesson of Greece mainly because the MSM and our educational system fail to point out the connection.

Due to a poor educational system that tends to condemn capitalism, many young people, Bernie’s base, have no idea that things like “free” college will result in massive tax increases that they will either pay directly, if they can find a job, or indirectly, through higher prices for the things they buy.  They also seem to have been trained to not make the connection between the disastrous failure of the VA, a nice example of government-run health care, and ObamaCare or the even worse “single payer” health plan that Bernie supports.
These people fail to understand that the Pentagon is as inept as the rest of the government. Huge cost overruns and slow development processes are the result of an unresponsive government bureaucracy where failure is more often rewarded not punished.  They condemn “big” business for being uncaring, but somehow fail to note that the biggest “business” of all, and hence the most uncaring, is the government.

Many Colleges and Professors have indoctrinated young minds into believing Socialism is the cure for all our problems.  Some of these Professors are Socialists, even worse, Communists.  Communism is the sibling of Socialism. To regain America we need to educate the people in groups 3 and 4 so that they realize that instead of bringing utopia, socialism will instead bring a uniform level of misery for all but the politicians, the very rich, and government employees.

Although Karl Marx has the title of 'The father of Socialism', the primary ideas came from British and French thinkers like Saint-Simon, Charles Fourier, Louis Blanc, and Robert Owen preceded by Thomas More, Tommaso Campanella, and Jean Meslier.
Socialism is the economic system imposed by Communism, but another one of the most well known political parties of the 20th century that was socialistic was the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nazi), headed by the fascist, but anti-communist, Adolf Hitler. Often socialism is a matter of degree and numerous economies in the world are very socialistic such as European countries, many of which are facing financial difficulties due to over taxation and excessive spending.

America has always been structured as Capitalist economics, as set in the framework of our founding documents by our founding fathers. It is free-market capitalism that provides the innovation and opportunity that leads to the increase in choices we have today. Choices in where we work, how we live, and, yes, the products we buy. From new drugs that save lives to labor-saving devices that reduce the drudgery of household work to the device you are reading this essay on, capitalism drove these developments each step along the way. There was a reason, after all, why West Germany built the Mercedes-Benz, while East Germany produced the Trabant.   According to the Human Freedom Index, more economic freedom correlates with more personal freedom. Just consider countries with state-controlled economies and how little personal freedom they allow. On the other hand, countries with free-market economies tend to be free in other ways, too.  Of course, when Bernie and his followers talk about socialism, they don’t really want to turn the U.S. into Venezuela or Cuba. They want to have socialism while keeping all the benefits of capitalism — having their cake and eating it too. That’s why Bernie frequently cites Sweden and Denmark as examples of socialism. This ignores the fact that both countries have long since understood that you can’t really tax and spend your way to prosperity. Call them SINOs — Socialists in Name Only.  In fact, when it comes to international trade and business regulations, both Sweden and Denmark are less socialist than the United States, according to the most recent Economic Freedom of the World rankings. In the 1990s, Sweden introduced school choice into elementary education, and it has even partially privatized its social-security system. Denmark recently cut the duration of unemployment benefits, and both countries have significantly reduced their corporate-income-tax rates; the Danish government has slashed the rate from 32 percent in 2000 to 23.5 percent last year.  Be aware citizens, our National Debt is at 19 trillion dollars and climbing every second and the Federal deficit is almost 6 trillion dollars and climbing.  With those two numbers and the other debts we have incurred, our total debt is all but 65 trillion dollars.

In my opinion, basically, Socialism is a slippery slope.  Yes, the ideals sound uplifting and gratifying.  But, like anything else, once you start down this road it will be easy to steer you into a more controlled form of Socialism, or even into a Communist state.  The programs outlined by Bernie Sanders, 2016 Presidentual hopeful, cannot be paid for.  He has proposed a list of taxes to be added or inflated, but the numbers he he has said, in the past, he wants to institute and what he tauts publicly are not the same numbers...on the surface.  If you actually read his tax plan, there are, basically, five(5) taxes to be considered and they, if added together, reach close to 90%.  So, once you place your foot on that slope and begin to walk it, you will slide into the abyss of taxes.  Can you live on 10% of your pay?  Since a large majority of Bernie Sanders supportors are 'millenials', the younger generation, I have to wonder if they realize that once they get into the work force, they will be the ones having to pay.

One more point I'd like to make, although it is a bit off topic.  Free college.  If everyone is afforded free college, and everyone attends and learns their chosen vocation, what will that college degree be worth?  Answer: It will be the equivalent to a High School Diploma, everyone will have one.  You will not be competetive in the job market as you will have the same education as every other applicant.  Also, if everyone gets a college education, who will perform the labor jobs that are needed?  In example, Home builders, Plumbers, Masons, Ditch diggers, Bus drivers and the like.  Every job, from the most menial to the highest paid CEO, is an important step in the path to creation.  Also, if Government is funding these college degrees, you can be sure they will dictate the cirriculum as well. Presenting them with further indoctrination opportunities.  All the while, colleges will be billing Government for tuitions that will be raised to astronomical amounts.  Funny...I am reminded of what a Democrat said, yes, a Democrat...'Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country'.  JFK, January 20, 1961.

The Importance Of Accountability

Why Accountability?  Why is it so important? We are a nation of laws, Americans are expected to abide by.  This includes those in the White House.  If the president violates the law, it sets an example for our country.  It influences actions in our society.  The lawlessness from our highest office causes our country to be unsafe and puts American lives on the line.  If he is not held accountable, it does in fact set the standard for future presidents in office.

With all he has done and all that he is doing, it is not too late.  So why isn't it happening?  More so, why are people even exhibiting fear of stating his intentional violations?  There are a lot of problems that have come from this administration and people want them solved.  They are not solved with a veil of secrecy and silence shielding what we have witnessed, lived through , and what we face today.

Action can only be taken appropriately when the root of the problem is identified.  If there are violations, they should not go ignored.  If there is over reach, it needs to be stopped.  If there is division, it must be bridged.  Why would we want this animosity within one political party or the American people to continue at this level?  'One' person cannot come along and save everyone from damage that has been done.  It takes unity and teamwork.

It is not too late for Justice.  But, Justice will remain to be unsuccessful if we continue to repeat old patterns and do not stand in truth for action to be taken.  With all that has happened, the people have lost their voice in some ways.  Not entirely, but to a degree.  Acting as if only a new leader regardless of behavior will make this all disappear.  Who really stands by the law to lead our country?  Who has the courage to acknowledge the wrongful actions that have been done?  Whoever is heading to be in office next ought to be willing to tackle the injustice that has put our country in the state we are in now.  That is the way forward and that is what people are waiting for.

We will continue to work hard at this site to address the issues, unite Americans, stand for justice and do what is right.  We have seen too much wrong doing.  We have seen too much division.  We have been weakened in many areas.  It is time to be strong in what we know to be the truth.  We would like to see whoever is president next to be honorable, respectful and just.  In the meantime, we the people need to make our voices heard that what is happening now is not acceptable.

This means, we set the example as lawful citizens. We exercise our rights in a productive lawful way.  We are not a radical site.  We are not a religious site.  We are not working for any political party.  We are for the people who care about our country.  Let there not be a day that passes without gratitude for what our country stands for, knowing we have not lost.  We are free.

IMPEACHMENT

The question remains.  Why hasn't the president been impeached?  Others say, it is too late.  This is not a justifiable reason to ignore impeachable offenses.  We the people are entitled the answer to this question.  We also have the right to demand action, specifically when our lives are on the line.

President:

Powers
The Constitutional powers granted to the president are enumerated in Article II, Section 2.

  • Serves as commander-in-chief of the US armed forces
  • Signs bills passed by Congress into law or vetoes them
  • Makes treaties with foreign nations (requires the approval of the Senate)
  • Appoints Supreme Court justices, lower federal court justices, ambassadors and Cabinet secretaries with the approval of the Senate
  • Delivers an annual State of the Union message to a joint session of Congress
  • Oversees the enforcement of all federal laws and regulations

_______________________________________________________________________________________________
***As you can see at the bottom of the list, 'enforcement of federal laws'.  Do you feel the laws are being enforced accordingly as they should be?

Removal from Office: Impeachment
Under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution, the president, vice president and federal judges can be removed from office through the process of impeachment. The Constitution stipulates that "Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors" represent justification for impeachment.

  • The House of Representatives makes and votes on the charges of impeachment
  • If adopted by the House, the Senate holds a "trial" on the charges of impeachment with the Chief Justice of the United States presiding as judge. Conviction and thus, removal from office, requires a two-thirds majority vote of the Senate.
  • Andrew Johnson and William Jefferson Clinton have been the only two presidents impeached by the House. Both were acquitted in the Senate.
  • ___________________________________________________________________________________________

***What have you witnessed as acts of Treason, High Crimes and Misdemeanors?

 - Wikipedia:  Definition:  High Crimes and Misdemeanors

Generally, debate over the phrase high crimes and misdemeanors has split into two camps. The minority view is held by critics who undertake a literal reading of the Constitution. They maintain that high crimes means what it says—criminal activity—and argue that the Framers wanted only criminal activities to be the basis for impeachment. The generally accepted viewpoint is much broader. It defines high crimes and misdemeanors as any serious abuse of power—including both legal and illegal activities. Supporters of this reading believe that because impeachment is a public inquiry, first and fore-most, it is appropriate to read the phrase broadly in order to provide the most thorough inquiry possible. Thus, a civil officer may face impeachment for misconduct, violations of oath of office, serious incompetence, or, in the case of judges, activities that undermine public conf

In the House of Representatives

  • The Chairman of the Judiciary Committee will propose a Resolution calling for the Judiciary Committee to begin a formal inquiry into the issue of impeachment.
  • Based on their inquiry, the Judiciary Committee will send another Resolution to the full House stating that impeachment is warranted and why (the Articles of Impeachment), or that impeachment is not called for.
  • The Full House (probably operating under special floor rules set by the House Rules Committee) will debate and vote on each Article of Impeachment.
  • Should any one of the Articles of Impeachment be approved by a simple majority vote, the President will be "impeached." However, being impeached is sort of like being indicted of a crime. There still has to be a trial, which is where the US Senate comes in.

In the Senate

  • The Articles of Impeachment are received from the House.
  • The Senate formulates rules and procedures for holding a trial.
  • The Senate will meet in private session to debate a verdict.
  • The Senate, in open session, will vote on a verdict. A 2/3 vote of the Senate will result in a conviction.
  • The Senate may also vote (by a simple majority) to prohibit the President from holding any public office in the future.

Impeachable Offenses

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution says, "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________

***When those in the House and Senate working for we the people are not taking the required steps to handle impeachable offenses, we must unite to challenge this.____________________________________________________________________________

 - The Senate Sergeant At Arms and Doorkeeper (SAA), elected by the members, serves as the protocol and chief law enforcement officer of the Senate and is the executive officer responsible for most support services in the Senate.

“As the Senate’s chief law enforcement officer, the SAA supervises the Senate wing of the Capitol, maintaining security in the Capitol and in all the Senate buildings, and controlling access to the Senate Chamber and galleries through a team of doorkeepers. The SAA also protects the senators and can arrest and detain any person violating Senate rules. On the orders of the Senate, the SAA is the only person who can arrest the president of the United States. Additionally, the SAA can compel senators to come to the Senate Chamber to establish a quorum.

As a member of the Capitol Police Board, the SAA also helps to oversee the operations of the United States Capitol Police. Alternating with the House Sergeant At Arms, the Senate SAA serves as chairman of the Capitol Police Board every other year.”

***  A letter was submitted to the Sgt.  at Arms signed by Americans concerned about what is happening.  We must continue to fight for Justice and Public Safety.

There are laws to be enforced and  we must not lose law and order.  There is an impeachment process to be used when there are violations.  When people we voted for are not doing their job, it is our voice that must be heard.   We must not accept our lives at risk due to reckless actions with nothing being done.  There must be accountability.
